As a Procurement Specialist, you will be working in the procurement team in Analytical Service, Process Automation Measurement and Analytics in Cleveland, Ohio. You will be deciding on and implementing plans for local sourcing to achieve business targets and assist regional and global sourcing initiatives. In this role you will assist in the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of procurement & logistics activities, applying and implementing standards, tools, and processes to ensure good quality, on time delivery, optimal costs and sustainability.

This is a position with global grade

Your responsibilities

  • Design and implement plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products or materials to reach customer requirements and business targets
  • Execute effective and transparent communication internally, externally and between different units and centers to drive cross collaboration
  • Standardize processes and implement routines in line with global directives
  • Track internal and supplier performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), quality issues and implements related development actions
  • Apply and implement procurement standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability
  • Lead by example by demonstrating HSE (Health Safety and Environmental) best practices and business ethics in day to day operations, contract management and negotiations
  • Deliver and participate in training programs as required to ensure compliance and foster professional development
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing or operations required
  • Demonstrated experience working with enterprise resource planning and standard operating procedures
  • Knowledge of SAP and SAP Ariba
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience working in international environments and managing stakeholders at all levels
  • A collaborative, solution focused approach and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
