Job Description

Estimated hourly base pay: $22/hr (minimum) - $29/hr (midpoint) - $36 (maximum) Plus shift differential and overtime.

Are you ready to make your mark?The team lead will maintain and be responsible for functions and KSAs listed in their primary job code in addition to the functions and KSAs described below. The reporting structure is described in the team lead's primary role description. The team lead is responsible for setting priority and removing obstacles for the team, providing training and communications to members, engaging in problem solving and providing feedback to the leader.

What you will be doing

  • Continue to perform essential functions in primary job code role description.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • Assist in keeping metrics or Key Performance Indicators up to date; participate in and/or leads team meetings to discuss department metrics.
  • Ensure members have the correct supplies and equipment for the job.
  • Facilitate and guide through standard work processes and procedures.
  • Prioritize and communicate member responsibilities and keep the team focused on quality and functional requirements to ensure proper work flow.
  • Gather information to initiate or respond to Non-Conformance Reports and control non-conforming parts (as relevant to primary role).
  • Respond to andons urgently and communicate to appropriate parties where help is needed to address the issue.
  • Welcome new members to the team.
  • Coordinate training for the department: schedule training of members, coordinate cross-training within teams, provide on-the-job training and may assist in the development of training programs.
  • Listen to team members' feedback (technical or otherwise) and elevate to leadership as appropriate.
  • Discuss initiatives and improvements pertaining to quality, efficiency, and priority of work.
  • Model adherence to the Core Values and encourage others to do the same.
  • Inform the leader of overall member performance (both satisfactory and unsatisfactory) for purposes of providing input to corrective action or the Leading Performance Management Process initiated by the leader.
  • Support and initiate Continuous Improvement (CI) activities.
  • Drive or support root cause and corrective actions to ensure systemic issues are resolved for lasting improvements.
  • Work across all stakeholder groups (sales, engineering, quality, vendors, internal and or external customer as appropriate) to ensure requirements are understood and needs are met.
  • May run or prepare reports.
  • Assist with maintaining the training matrix (where applicable).
  • Understand and clearly communicate the implementation of process methodologies and the benefits.
  • Support members in the development of soft skills as needed.
  • Flow down information from leadership and various meetings to ensure understanding of broader organizational objectives.
  • Resolve minor equipment failures.
  • Perform periodic audits as needed.
  • Operations focused - Support value stream flow and Daily Build Rate (DBR).
  • Operations focused - Initiating maintenance requests to service equipment.
  • Operations focused - Monitor constraint operations and ensure supply of materials needed for timely production.
  • Operations focused - Facilitate timely calibration of equipment as required.

Education or Formal Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 2 years of related work experience
