Mission

As a manufacturing engineering intern, you'll work closely with the manufacturing engineering team on specific tasks and projects. You'll gain hands-on experience in improving production processes or project. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow alongside experienced professionals.

Roles and Responsibilities

"Key responsibilities include:

  • Enhancing workflow efficiency by implementing lean and six sigma principles

  • Optimizing line balancing for minimum throughput time and designing ergonomic stations

  • Assessing assembly tooling requirements

  • Implementing build-in quality through Poka-Yoke and mistake-proofing

  • automating processes, conducting PFMEA and Kaizen events, and implementing 5S and AVIX video time studies

  • Reducing rework through proactive root cause analysis and First Time Right Andon

  • Documenting and formalizing assembly best practices

  • Contributing to design notification process improvements

  • Participating in new project introductions and prototype building if needed.

What we expect of you?

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must be:

* Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university or technical/vocational institution.
* Eligible to work in the United States without company assistance.
* Have their own housing - no housing will be provided with this internship.
* Must be a rising junior or senior within their program of study.
* Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
* Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Have excellent attention to detail, be well-organized and show initiative.
* Demonstrate leadership qualities.
